Hana snoozing. She came home today after surgery. She went in to have a bladder stone removed. The doctor x-rayed and did sonograms two different times to confirm the stone. When she opened Hana's bladder up, no stone! She did have an unusually shaped bladder and a cyst they removed. Poor kitty's belly's shaved.

Cat Café
What a great concept.
Click on article title to read the whole thing. One hour of heavy petting
I went to a cat cafe in Osaka yesterday. Although, describing it as a "cafe" is somewhat misleading. It's more of a cat brothel than a cat cafe.

Belated Happy New Years and Mardi Gras.
Here's the latest from our feline household. They were not happy about all the noise that goes along with either New Years Eve nor Mardi Gras. NYE the never ending barrage of fireworks upset them. Mardi Gras is noisy, especially with police car sirens going as the police escourt krewes and "royalty" to parades and balls.
Gonzo maintains the status quo. Still equal part sweetie and stinker. Though her claws have gotten very long and she's not very cooperative about letting me cut them. I get one or two a day if I'm lucky.
Good news: Hana has lost a pound. Bad news: last time at the vet they discovered she has a bladder stone that requires surgery and $$$. We had to put it off. She has shown no signs of discomfort and it was a fluke they even discovered the stone. G took her in last week and the stone is still there and she had a mild bladder infection. She is on antibiotics for 2 weeks and then goes in for surgery. Poor kitty. Thankfully we can grind the pills up and put in canned cat food.
